Cylinder Head Coatings
A cylinder head does three different jobs in three different places, so PolyDyn uses three different coatings on one part.
Combustion chamber and valve faces
We apply PolyDyn Performance Ceramic Coating to the combustion chamber and the valve faces. This protects the metal surfaces from heat saturation and keeps more heat in the combustion chamber, which allows for more efficient flame travel and ultimately more power. It is the same ceramic we put on piston domes.
Intake port
We apply PolyDyn Performance Oil Shedding Coating to the intake port to increase air flow. The coating reduces friction and wind resistance so more air is drawn into the combustion chamber, which results in a better fuel mixture and more power. Pair it with a coated intake manifold and a coated carburetor and the whole intake tract is working the same way.
Exhaust port
Finally, we apply PolyDyn Performance Ceramic Coating to the exhaust port, which protects the metal surface from heat saturation and allows for more efficient exhaust flow. The exhaust side continues into coated headers and exhaust.
